Vinyl siding is sold in cartons that contain two "squares." Each square of siding covers 100 square feet. To estimate the amount of siding you'll need, determine the square footage of your home and divide by 100. (If you're worried about measuring incorrectly, remember most contractors offer free estimates which include properly measuring your home.)
